AWW cooking school cookbook page 560

Hilarius thought this recipe would well and truly be stuffed because I changed the ingredient from rhubarb and custard to bananas but to my surprise they were so moist and beautiful they only lasted the day.

I used 3 x bananas that looked blackened and old but as we all know inside are sweet and soft. It's just the kids who refuse to eat them. The recipe was easy , straight forward and did not required any electric mixing . This is fabulous for kids. If anyone would like the recipe just reply and I will sent it to you.

I promise I will still do the 'Rhubarb and Custard muffins' as they sound devine. When I go to the Monbulk market on the 6th of June i shall pick up bottle rhubarb that she makes (it is to die for!)

So what is the rating for the muffin according to the Lawrence kids? 8/10

In case you don't know I have decided to cook my way through this book just like Julie and Julia. I cant do it in the 21/2 hrs that she did (ha ha) but will try to do at least 2-3 recipes a week. Here is the first one.

Oh my god! Hard to mix if your butter is not quite softened enough but easy to follow recipe. These cookie spread a country mile in the oven and I think they are way too big. If you don't want humongously ridiculous biscuits change rolled tablespoons to teaspoons.

When your biscuits are cooked they are over the top soft and hard to move to the drying rack . You really do have to move them after they have cooled on the tray otherwise you swear a lot like I did.

Having said that the trauma is worth it as they taste beautiful. Eat your heart out Mrs Fields.

The family loved them but only gave them a 7.6/10 but I think thats because I made them a little soft

See you
